Nestor Maslej is a globally recognized AI strategist and researcher working at the intersection of technology, business, and public policy. In 2025, he founded Nestor Maslej Consulting Inc., where he serves as principal and CEO. The company helps enterprises understand and integrate AI in ways that deliver measurable productivity gains while prioritizing safety and responsible use.

Previously, Nestor served as Editor-in-Chief of the AI Index at Stanford's Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI), where over four years he built the Index into the world's most widely read reports on AI. He continues to work for Stanford HAI part-time as a Research Associate and is the author of the forthcoming International AI Safety Report (2026). Since 2024, he has also taught several popular courses at Stanford examining key trends in AI development and deployment.

Nestor has provided strategic AI counsel to senior leaders at some of the world's leading organizations, including Goldman Sachs, Accenture, Mastercard, IBM, McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, and Citibank. His research is regularly cited by governments and international organizations including the United States, the European Union, and the OECD, and featured in publications such as The New York Times, Financial Times, Bloomberg, and The Guardian. He is a Senior Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI).

Nestor holds an MPhil in Comparative Government from Oxford (Distinction) and an A.B. in Social Studies from Harvard (Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa). At Harvard, he was an editor for the Harvard Lampoon. At Oxford, he was a stay-at-home defenseman for the Varsity Ice Hockey Team.
